Best ski resorts in the Pyrenees for beginners

My family and I are planning a ski trip to the Pyrenees this winter, but we are all complete beginners. We are looking for resorts with gentle slopes, good English-speaking ski schools, and a friendly atmosphere for families. Does anyone have recommendations for the best spots that aren't too intimidating for those just starting out? Any advice on the best time to go to avoid the biggest crowds would also be greatly appreciated.

Grandvalira in Andorra is fantastic for beginners. Specifically, the Soldeu sector has wide, gentle nursery slopes and the ski school there is excellent with plenty of English speakers. It feels very welcoming for families.
