Top coastal town recommendations for a Spanish summer getaway?

I am currently planning a two-week trip to Spain for this coming July and I am looking for the perfect coastal town to serve as my base. I really want a mix of beautiful beaches, authentic local culture, and great seafood without it feeling like a total tourist trap. Does anyone have suggestions for hidden gems or lively spots that are worth visiting during the peak summer season? I'm open to both the Mediterranean and Atlantic coasts.

I highly recommend checking out Cadaqués in Catalonia. It’s absolutely stunning, feels very authentic, and avoids the high-rise hotel feel of other spots. Just make sure you know the rules for driving in Europe before renting a car to navigate those winding coastal roads!

Try Nerja in Andalusia. It’s popular but still maintains a charming, traditional vibe with amazing tapas and beaches.
