Planning a summer trip: Best family-friendly vacation spots in Europe?

My family and I are starting to plan our first big trip to Europe for next summer, and we are looking for destinations that cater well to both kids and adults. Does anyone have recommendations for regions or specific cities that are easy to navigate with young kids?
